Wish List

My Dad is turning 60 this year. Though he tells us that he doesn’t want a party, I can see it in his eyes that he does.

Dad is quite a funny man. He loves making jokes and totally enjoys seeing people laugh. Dad often reads joke books and then relays them to us in full animation. Since it will be Dad’s birthday and we feel like he already has everything he needs, we asked him to write a wish list for our reference. As soon as we read it, we were realized how thoughtful and generous our Dad was. There was nothing on the list for himself. It was for all of us and some of his friends.

Here are some of Dad’s wish list items:

Cheap portable generators – He told us how his old friend, Mr. Niles can’t sometimes pay his electricity bills due to late pension payments. Dad would want to give him a portable generator so he won’t eat his dinner in the dark.
• Airline ticket to Canada – My sister’s husband was based in Canada and they haven’t seen each other in months. The airline ticket would be for her so that she and her husband would be together even in just a short while.

Typical Day

As soon as I wake up in the morning, I immediately head to the bathroom to relieve myself and brush my teeth. After taking a quick shower, I towel dry my hair and blow dry it in low setting. I can’t stand too much heat in my face. When my hair is dry, I style it straight with a ceramic hair iron.

Choosing my outfit for the day can sometimes take me minutes. I constantly change my mind about certain outfits and I almost always need to wear at least 3 kinds of outfits before I can decide. Just last week, I donned an olive green cashmere turtle neck sweater but thought against it. I changed to a simple sheer floral blouse but decided against that too. It was a bit racy for the office. The winner outfit have been a simple white suit. It looked perfect with my tan stiletto shoes.

Making breakfast is next on the agenda after dressing. Since I only got a bit of time for breakfast, I just whipped myself an omelette and orange juice or a buttered toast with milk. When breakfast is done, it is time to head to the office. My drive to work takes at least 15 minutes and I rather enjoy it.

Will and Amy

Will just arrived in Amy’s house. He knocked on the door and waited for her to answer. He rang the doorbell and waited again. It seems that no one was in the house. That was kind of weird since Amy called him up to drop by.

Will went out back and peeked into one of the kitchen windows. It seems that Amy was making homemade ice cream and was dancing to the beat of whatever she was listening on her IPod. Will tapped the window and waved to Amy as she turned towards him. Immediately, she beamed and ran towards the door to let him in.

Amy hugged Will and asked him to sit down. She was just making dessert for both of them to enjoy. It would just take an hour before they can enjoy the ice cream since they both like it soft serve. Amy then bought will into the living room to watch some movies while waiting for their dessert to be done. They were in the mood to watch animated movies so they picked “Finding Nemo.” Will and Amy had seen this movie hundreds of times together but it still cracks them up. A few minutes later, Will and Amy were enjoying chocolate ice cream.
